Additional Costs for Non-EU Au Pairs Swiss laws stipulate several variable costs related to the employment of au pairs, in addition to the Placement and Recruitment fees above: • Work/residence permit for your au pair: between SFr 400 to SFr 600 • Community Registry: SFr 80 to SFr 137 depending on where you live • Au pair’s Language school: approximately SFr 100 depending on program and school • Health and accident insurance: about SFr 170 per month • Taxes and social charges (AHV/IV/EO/ALV): around SFr 200 per month • four weeks of paid vacation • Round trip airplane tickets from and to the country of origin • Room and board
